Trailer Training(Norfolk)
Getting Started
We pride ourselves in providing you with high quality B+E trailer training in Norwich and surrounding areas in Norfolk, using DSA qualified driving instructors, giving knowledge & driving skills to help you become a successful BE licence holder.
All you need to start is a current category B car license.
• If you passed your car test before 1st January 1997, you are generally entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer combination up to 8.25 tonnes MAM (maximum authorised mass). MAM is the maximum permitted laden weight.
• If you passed your test on or after 1st January 1997 (including re-tests if you have had your licence revoked), you are restricted to vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes MAM, towing an unbraked trailer up to 750kgs MAM or a vehicle and braked trailer combination up to 3.5 tonnes MAM (provided the MAM of the trailer does not exceed the unladen mass of the towing vehicle you wish to tow) If the trailer exceeds these weight limits, you will need to pass an additional driving test to gain B+E licence entitlement.
B+E Driving Test
The B+E trailer test lasts for 60-75 mins approx.
The test is conducted at LGV Jupiter Road test centre in Norwich, Norfolk.
The towing test (B+E) includes:
• Safety checks on your vehicle and trailer.
• A reversing exercise.
• A braking exercise performed on road immediately before the angled
start.
• A unhitching and re-coupling exercise.
• An on road drive demonstrating a high level of competence, with emphasis
on good mirror work, forward planning, all round observation and road positioning
with consideration to other road users.
• Five Show Me Tell me questions about towing related safety.
All training is conducted with licensed Driving instructors (ADI) who are CRB checked.

*Terms & Conditions Only one offer per licence holder. Offers can be removed at anytime without prior notice. 10 hours offer - 9 hours at the start of your training, the 10th hour is to be used on the day of the driving test. 6 hours offer - 5 hours at the start of your training, the 6th hour is to be used on the day of the driving test. 5 hours offer - 4 hours at the start of your training, the 5th hour is to be used on the day of the driving test. The term lesson is a duration of 1 hour, and the offer must be used in 2 hour sessions only. B+E offer is courses only.
These offers cannot be used for assessment lessons, mock tests or driving tests. For pupils who are trained and require refresher lessons to pass the driving test, an offer of 3 hours for £30 would apply, the 3rd hour to be used on the day of the driving test. The £30, £50, £60, £80 or £170 offers are payable on the first lesson and are non refundable. All training conducted in Norwich, Norfolk. Please ask for details.
